I selected this photo because I liked the way I had the camera positioned. Compositionally, there is the rule of thirds present because your can see the image broken into thirds. Also there is repetitionshown by the windows and bricks. To take this photo I had the cameras white balance was set on sunny and the ISO was 200.
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is shape. There is also space seen between the feathers. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the level and brightness. The camera was set to a fast shutter speed, capturing the feathers and focusing in on them, while also capturing their texture. This photo makes me think of movies scenes when feathers get dropped down .
This photo was taken for the pattern and texture assignment. What I like about this photo is the way it was captured. My point of view was looking down at the flower. The photo follows the rule of thirds because it breaks down the photo evenly, although the flower is in the middle. The shallow depth of field shows the flower in focus while the leaves are not in sharp focus. The ISO was set to 200 and the white balance was sunny.
